To meet Roche’s needs, hiberus put together a multidisciplinary team that collaborates closely with Roche’s own teams, following the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) methodology to ensure agility and efficiency throughout the process.
The first project focuses on developing an on-premise web application designed to enhance laboratory efficiency. This application provides laboratories with real-time monitoring capabilities through specific Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). By providing these insights, laboratories can immediately address issues such as delays in test results, instrument connectivity problems, or abnormal sample processing times. This proactive approach ensures that laboratories can maintain high standards of performance and efficiency.
To further enhance quality and user experience, the hiberus development team has worked on implementing new widgets and features that improve usability and user interface (UI/UX).
These updates provide the application with expanded monitoring capabilities for the various processes that professionals in laboratories handle daily. Additionally, enhancements are being made to facilitate interaction with certain components, allowing for the extraction of useful information for integration with other systems.
Significant improvements have been made in the areas of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD). These enhancements automate processes, resulting in more effective work teams and streamlined pipelines for automatic deployments. Automated testing is now executed with each deployment, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
At the DevOps level, efforts have been focused on improving the visibility of machine performance and the various services involved in running the application. This allows for better monitoring and management of the infrastructure, ensuring that everything operates smoothly and efficiently.
Another ongoing project in collaboration with Roche aims to provide clients with the capability to digitally integrate and manage clinical devices from Roche and other manufacturers, along with their associated operators, in an efficient and user-friendly manner. This initiative is designed to offer an improved, seamless user experience.
This solution allows Roche’s diverse clientele—hospitals, primary care centers, clinics, laboratories and pharmacies. It allows them to manage their clinical and diagnostic devices and their operators effectively. Additionally, the solution integrates with each facility’s personnel systems (such as Active Directory) and Learning Management Systems (LMS). This integration streamlines the management, assignment, and execution of required training for each device type, ensuring that data is automatically updated and accurate.
The solution synchronizes all data related to operators and their completed training with the end devices, enabling operators to use these devices across different client locations, such as hospitals.
This software is accessible both as a web application on desktop computers and via mobile devices and tablets, providing coordinators with the flexibility and mobility they need to manage operations efficiently.
- A key feature of the solution is the Cloud-Edge architecture, which combines the power and scalability of cloud computing with the real-time processing capabilities and low latency of edge devices. This architecture enhances the system’s performance by processing data closer to the source, ensuring faster response times and reducing the load on central servers.
- On the backend, we utilize cutting-edge technologies such as Java, AWS services, and Domain-Driven Design (DDD). These technologies enable robust, secure data processing, which is crucial for handling sensitive medical information.
- For the frontend, we use REACT, ensuring a modern, user-friendly, and highly interactive interface. This makes the platform intuitive and easy to navigate for users.
