Magento 2 is the new version of the most widely used e-commerce platform at worldwide level for the creation of online stores. With the release of Magento 2, many features have been added and many of those already integrated in Magento 1 have been improved.

  1. Optimized check-out: simplified checkout process, faster and easier purchase process. This process is available to both registered and non-registered users. Magento 2 automatically recognizes registered customers based on email.
  2. Improved cache system: Magento 2 implements an FPC/ system improving web browsing speed and, at the same time, not continuously "using" requests to the BBDD, allows the concurrent browsing of a larger number of users without affecting performance.
  3. Improved usability of the admin panel: the most user-friendly and intuitive admin panel is available natively in responsive version.
  4. Distributed stock functionality: offers the possibility to implement a multi-warehouse stock structure. Completely editable and manageable from the same Magento admin autonomously.
  5. Support for GraphQL language: allows the client to define the structure of the required data, and the server will return exactly the same structure of the data, thus avoiding excessive amounts of data being returned. The use of this technology is spreading exponentially due to its efficiency compared to others such as REST APIs.
  6. ElasticSearch search engine: this search tool helps to improve the speed and relevance of the search results displayed on the web.
  7. Cache-Management ACL: Magento has different types of cache and an action on a cache can affect system performance. has introduced Cache-Management ACL in Magento 2.3 to allow administrators to define more specific cache access permissions in the Magento back-end.

Functionality: Magento Community has all the features needed for most e-commerce stores, but if you want something more personalized, you’ll have to pay a little more to make the necessary developments. Features that are unique to Magento Enterprise include return management authorization, promotion permission, call center integration, and more.
