HIBERUS, TECHNOLOGY PARTNER OF WEPOD, PRISA AUDIO'S EUROPEAN PROJECT

hiberus has become a technological partner of WePod, the European project led by PRISA Audio, which will create 24 cross-border podcasts. In this new initiative, a total of nine partners from seven different countries will collaboratively produce content in various languages.

WePod aims to create collaborative audio content, develop a podcast white paper addressing the advantages and challenges of the audio industry in Europe, and carry out communication and educational activities throughout the European Union. This initiative is funded through the Creative Europe program (CREA).

hiberus is responsible for creating the WePod brand image, style guide, and the official project website, which was launched this month at www.wepodproject.eu. As the sole technology partner in the consortium, we will develop, implement, and maintain the necessary tools and applications to support the growth and expansion of the various project podcasts. In this regard, we will work on creating various tools, channels, and public databases that promote and facilitate collaboration among podcast industry professionals at the European level.

"We will create an online database that serves as a platform or marketplace, so that the productions of different content are visible and accessible online", explains Cristina Gros, Director of Telco & Media Operations at hiberus. This will also "enable the adaptation of content to different languages, markets, and formats, as well as expand the reach of the audience for various content," Gros continues.

Additionally, we will create other tools to support the work of podcast creators, including collaborative work environments, the compilation of tools and knowledge, and a repository of information that provides professionals with articles, reports, news, webinars, and other useful and relevant resources.

"WePod aims to address a deficit that existed in the audio industry in Europe," explains María Jesús Espinosa de los Monteros, General Director of PRISA Audio. "Until now, the industry has been highly fragmented due to different languages. We want to unite forces to make the stories of our continent shine and resonate beyond our borders. We aim to create a European audio narrative with the diverse voices and accents that enrich our region," she concludes.

WePod collaborates with Bulle Media (Belgium), News Decoder (France), Chora Media (Italy), Magyar Jeti Zrt (Hungary), Outriders (Poland), and Press Freedom (Serbia). Prisa Audio participates in the project through its brands El País Audio, Ser Podcast, and Podium Podcast, while the University Roma Tre (Italy) is responsible for academic research, and hiberus is the technology partner.
